After a guest finishes leaving a voicemail, our system automatically sends a text message to the phone number they called from. The text includes your custom thank-you message. It arrives within seconds of the call ending, so the guest sees it almost immediately.

Yes. You write the exact message guests receive. You might keep it simple — "Thank you for your message! — Sarah & James" — or add details like a hashtag, a link, or a personal note. The message is entirely yours to craft.

The SMS is sent to every caller who successfully leaves a voicemail. If a caller hangs up before the recording starts, or if their number cannot receive texts (some landlines), the text is not sent. You are never charged for undeliverable messages.

SMS thank-you messages are included with the Premium package. Essential and Classic packages include email notifications but not SMS. You can upgrade to Premium at any time from your event dashboard.

Absolutely. Every SMS we send includes a STOP option at the end — for example: "Phone Keepsakes: Thanks for leaving a voicemail for Sarah & James's wedding guest book! Your message has been saved for the happy couple. Reply STOP to opt out." If a guest replies STOP, they won't receive any further texts from that number. This is fully automatic and compliant with carrier messaging guidelines.

Guests at your event will see printed signage containing a QR code and a phone number. The sign invites them to scan the QR code or call the phone number to leave a voicemail message for you. After leaving the voicemail, the guest may receive a one-time confirmation SMS thanking them for their message and confirming it was recorded. No app download is needed — the entire experience happens through a phone call and a single text.

Yes. By leaving a voicemail using the Phone Keepsakes phone number, guests agree to the recording and storage of their voicemail message for the event host. Guests may receive a single confirmation SMS message acknowledging their voicemail submission. This is clearly communicated through your event signage and sharing materials, and guests can reply STOP to any text to opt out of further messages.

Phone Keepsakes does not charge guests for receiving the thank-you text. However, standard message and data rates may apply depending on the guest's mobile carrier and plan. This is the same as any other text message they receive.
