A still frame that moves with the voice: a waveform that rises and falls as the message plays, your event name or a headline of your own, who called and when, and the words of the message appearing as captions. There is no video footage — it is the recording, given something to look at.

Pick the shape that suits where it is going — we render the ratio, but we do not enforce each app's own length limits or safe areas, so give the preview a look before you post.

Up to 60 seconds. Take the whole message if it is shorter than that, or trim to a 15 or 30 second clip — with 60 offered as well once the message runs past 30 seconds — and slide to the part you want. Handy when the line you love is 40 seconds into a two-minute message.

Yes. Captions come from the transcription and can be switched off entirely, or set to a calmer paragraph style instead of the word-by-word social style. There are two more switches beside it — one for the event name, one for who called and when — so you can share a message without naming anyone.

No. It is put together in your browser, on your own device, and saved straight to it. We never receive the finished file, so nothing is posted anywhere until you choose to post it.

It is built to. Memorials, celebrations of life and pet memorials open on Stillwater — a quiet, dark theme with calmer captions — rather than the bright one, and you can leave the caller's name off. Nothing about the video is celebratory unless you make it so.

Voicemail videos are included on Premium. There is no extra charge for making them, and no limit on how many you make.

A recent Chrome, Edge or Safari on desktop or mobile will produce an .mp4, which is the file every social app accepts. Some older browsers can only write .webm, which Instagram and TikTok reject — if yours does, we say so before you start, and you can make the video anyway or switch browsers. Very old browsers cannot do it at all; you can still download the audio and transcription and assemble something yourself.
